Euclideo2019designer Ferruccio LavianiA desk that goes beyond pure function to assume the role of a real sculpture, to be a privileged piece, to become a physical presence. It is Euclidean by Ferruccio Laviani: an evolution of the executive system towards a more contemporary concept of furniture and less tied to the traditional iconography of this functional typology. “It is the combination of two volumes that gives life, on the one hand, to the worktop as opposed to the piece of furniture, used as a container. Faceted solids that interpenetrate, defining volumes and spaces which, in turn, define functions ”, explains architect Ferruccio Laviani. Furthermore, Euclidean finishes are part of the expressive and stylistic language of the system, further defining the functions of each component. The suspended worktop, which almost seems to defy the laws of gravity, contrasts with the solid space of the container which counterbalances, even optically, its balance. The possibility of choosing between a range of essences, ranging from exotic woods to the most traditional, make the whole of this executive desk unique and exclusive.

A top in transparent and beveled glass with a thickness of 19 mm or in extra-white tempered glass painted in white and beveled with a thickness of 12 mm is also available. The supports of the tops consist of an anthracite gray painted steel structure with two chromed steel feet.The extension consists of a black melamine panel covered in leather and is fixed on one side to the desk structure and on the other. it has a leg in anthracite gray painted steel with chromed foot. The structure of the drawer units, the storage units and the service unit is made with a black melamine panel with variable thickness in the various elements from 18 mm to 30 mm. and completely covered in leather. The drawer units seem “suspended” but are fixed to the desk structure by means of anthracite gray painted steel elements; the storage and service units, on the other hand, have two feet in anthracite gray painted steel with a chromed end part. The handles are made of steel covered in leather. The fronts of the drawers and filing cabinets and the doors are in panel of wood particles veneered with essence of zebrano or in black melamine panel covered in saddle leather.
